I once allowed other people’s opinions dictate my decisions.

I once allowed other people get under my skin. I was afraid to be my true self in case I would have looked silly or people would have judged me. It was always just easier to go with the crowd and believe & do what they did. It was easier to agree with others and to join in on the gossip. And even worse – I believed all the gossip!

But then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks…

I wasn’t fulfilled doing what everyone else did.
I wasn’t fulfilled pretending I’m someone I’m not.
I wasn’t fulfilled playing small.
I wasn’t fulfilled listening & participating in gossip.

SO WHAT DID I DO?

I did what I believe everyone on this earth should do for themselves –

I stopped listening to the opinions of others.
I stopped doing what everyone else did.
I stopped following the crowd.
I stopped believing everything people told me.
I stopped associating with gossipers.

I started using my own voice.
I started showing up as me.
I started making my own decisions.
I started following my own dreams instead of the dream of the planet.
I started doing what I wanted to do.
I started living my life UNAPOLOGETICALLY.

Did everyone around me like it? NO.
Did everyone accept the real me? NO.
Did people have an opinion? YES.
Did some people leave my life? YES. (Thank God!)

Hey guess what –

PEOPLE WILL HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO

SO YOU MAY AS WELL START LIVING YOUR LIFE AND DO WHAT FULFILLS YOU.

By being your true self you claim your power.
By being your true self you eliminate the wrong people and allow the right people to find you.
By being your true self is the only way that you can be 100% happy at a soul level.

People’s opinions is not truth, it’s a point of view.
Gossip is not truth, it’s a point of view.
A story that is told is not truth, it’s a point of view.

Now go and be YOU. Go and own it!
